Senior Software Engineer - User Management

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the User Management team at Clever, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our Identity Management platform. This platform is crucial for provisioning, maintaining, and syncing user accounts across school districts using Clever. You will work on building connections between Clever and third-party identity providers, such as Google and Microsoft, enabling seamless login experiences for students and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management, design, and marketing teams to research, design, and code major new features and enhancements.
• Develop and lead new features across fast and intuitive UIs, Go Microservices, and REST APIs to give districts control over their data synchronization with Clever.
• Contribute to Clever's ecosystem of engineering excellence, focusing on creating top-quality customer experiences and internal architecture.
• Engage with users through interviews and feedback sessions to refine new products.
• Work across the full stack, with ownership of the end-to-end user experience. Technologies include Node.js, TypeScript, React for frontend, and Go for backend, along with MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB, and various AWS services.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience as a full-stack Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in full stack technologies like TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Go, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with AWS technologies including DynamoDB, ECS, Step Functions, SNS, and SQS.
• Strong skills in generating and automating unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Experience with User and Identity Management, Relational Databases, and SQL.
• Knowledge of User Security and Role-Based Access Control.
• Experience with scripting (Bash, Powershell) and Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure) and Windows services.
• Proven ability to optimize Front End performance.
• Experience leading medium to large projects and collaborating with cross-team stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills for in-depth analysis of complex problems across the stack.
• A commitment to code simplicity, performance, and maintainability.
• A drive to learn and teach through collaboration and code reviews.

Salary Transparency

• For candidates living in the United States, excluding NYC and San Francisco, CA, the base salary range is between €160,000 - €190,000.
• For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA, the range is between €176,000 - €209,000.
