About The Role
As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at The Browser Company, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative features for Arc, our cutting-edge web browser. This position requires a deep understanding of Swift and C++ to create seamless and engaging user experiences. You will be responsible for leading major product initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Architect: Drive major product initiatives across existing and new features, impacting our industry-leading browser.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Design, Membership, Data, and Leadership teams to brainstorm, prototype, and launch new features.
- Mentor: Support and mentor a talented team of product engineers, fostering their technical and product mindset growth.
- Improve Processes: Identify and implement engineering-wide processes and architecture improvements focusing on performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Deliver Excellence: Ensure high-craft, interaction-rich user experiences that set the bar for what's possible.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of experience developing high-quality software products on iOS/macOS using Swift or Objective-C.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve ambiguous problems and own complex technical initiatives.
- Leadership: Experience in influencing and building relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Mentorship: Track record of mentoring engineers and developing creative solutions to unblock challenges.
- Startup Environment: Excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment with quick product validation cycles.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: The annual salary range for this role is $250,000-$310,000 USD, with flexible compensation options.
