Job Overview
DuckDuckGo is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our Apple-related projects. This role is pivotal in shaping our all-in-one privacy solution and driving the success of our native browsing applications. As an Engineering Director at DuckDuckGo, you will have the opportunity to influence product development and team growth, while mentoring technically focused developers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through post-mortem.
- Handle vague problems, propose innovative solutions, and execute them with a focus on metrics and impact.
- Take ownership of complex projects and guide solutions on ambiguous and challenging problems.
- Coach and mentor a team of technically strong developers working on large, complex consumer-facing products.
Qualifications
- 10+ years experience leading teams of technically strong developers.
- 5+ years experience in developing complex native applications or libraries, including some iOS or MacOS experience.
- Proven leadership experience across multiple consumer-facing products.
- 4+ years experience in senior leadership roles including people management, coaching, and mentoring.
