Job Overview
DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer to join our team remotely. This role is pivotal in shaping our all-in-one privacy solution, focusing on developing a cross-platform solution that enhances the performance and efficiency of our Windows, Apple, and Android teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through post-mortem.
- Wrangle vague problems, propose innovative solutions, and execute them with a focus on metrics.
- Interface with the open-source world to architect solutions that grow privacy on the web.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
- Advanced expertise in C++ (modern C++14 or more recent).
- Direct experience with browser development (Chromium, WebKit, or WebView).
- Experience with other modern languages (C#, Swift, Kotlin, Rust).
- Experience developing software for Mobile platforms or Desktop (Android/iOS/Windows).
- Solid foundation in computer science (algorithms and data structures).

Compensation
Annual compensation: $176,000 USD and stock options. Compensation is the same within a professional level, regardless of geographic location or functional area, and the compensation for each professional level is transparent across the organization.
