About The Team

Our team is dedicated to the future of startups. We collaborate with some of the newest and most innovative companies to help them grow. As a Senior Startup Partner, you will play a crucial role in representing Stripe and promoting our solutions across a broad base of startups and accelerator partners. Our primary goal is to help early-stage founders succeed through mentorship, financial stack setup, investor connections, and more.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

• Oversee a portfolio of strategic early-stage venture capital partnerships.
• Work across the business to ensure every founder's experience with Stripe is surprisingly delightful.
• Build out and oversee the execution of key programs.
• Initiate new projects that continuously add value to partners and startups.
• Serve as a point of escalation for partners and top startups to grow Stripe’s brand within the startup ecosystem.
• Maintain a product feedback loop with internal teams to ensure continuous improvement.
• Work cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders to advance strategic Stripe initiatives for startup founders.
• Collate startup ecosystem insights and prepare weekly/quarterly updates detailing business progress, market trends, and product feedback gathered from startup engagement.
• Represent Stripe in the startup ecosystem and take up speaking opportunities at key startup events.
• Leverage your data skills (SQL, Python) to build tools that better serve founders and demonstrate impact.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with:

• 7+ years of experience in the startup ecosystem, either in startups or investing.
• A strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, founder empathy, and the ability to build strong partnerships.
• A user-first mindset where anything less than perfect is unacceptable.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to launch new programming.
• A builder’s spirit, excited to launch new initiatives within Stripe that extend surprisingly delightful experiences to top founders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to operate and thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
• Humility and a “no task is too small” attitude.

Hybrid Work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
