Linde Material Handling is seeking a talented Software Architect to join our dynamic engineering team in the Greater Aschaffenburg Area. As a Software Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing innovative software architectures for vehicle control systems, particularly for forklifts and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop Software Architectures: You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing software architectures for vehicle control systems.
• Innovative Embedded Software Development: Lead the development of cutting-edge embedded software architectures and detailed designs for vehicle control systems.
• Software Requirements and Interface Definition: Create and analyze software requirements and define interfaces for software components.
• Technology and Tool Selection: Select appropriate technologies and tools to enhance software architecture.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with software architecture.
• Platform Projects: Drive company-wide platform projects and define platform requirements.
• Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership to an international software team.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with distributed teams in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Several years of experience in embedded software development with strong knowledge of C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
• Additional Skills: Experience with Rust, Go, and Zig is advantageous. Familiarity with UML/SYSML and IBM Rhapsody is beneficial.
• Process Knowledge: Understanding of development processes such as Automotive SPICE and functional safety is desirable.
• Model-Based Design: Experience with model-based design using MATLAB & Simulink.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and influence others.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent German and English language skills.
