Job Description
The Amazon Key team is at the forefront of pioneering initiatives for Amazon deliveries and services within Ring. We are dedicated to enhancing customer experience through next-generation technologies and are seeking an exceptional, entrepreneurial full-stack Senior Software Development Engineer to help drive this mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Requirements Translation: Translate product requirements for our web applications into well-designed, well-documented, and well-maintained front-end code. Our tech stacks include mostly native AWS services, using AWS CDK, Next.js, and React.js single-page applications.
- Collaboration: Work with other Amazon teams both inside and external, such as AMZL/LMTech or Delivery and Recipient Experience (DEX, REX) teams.
- Mentorship: Mentor team members and guide the team's architecture and use of AI/ML.
- Backend Services: Step into work on backend services as needed.
A Day in the Life
- Participate in three-times-a-week standups and two-week sprints.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including product managers, other SDEs, QAEs, SDMs, BIE, and marketers.
- Engage with external stakeholders including the growing Key, Ring, and Amazon customers found in the myQ, Key, Ring, and Amazon-wide apps and websites.
About The Team
The Amazon Key team supports millions of secure in-garage deliveries. Our plans include other products and enhancements around secure delivery. Key Frontend focuses on outstanding customer and partner experience. We are a large, cohesive, and distributed team.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Professional, non-internship software development experience.
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Development experience in the last 3 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
