Software Development Engineer, AWS Systems Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to join our development team in Berlin, Germany, to build innovative products, services, and user experiences for AWS Systems Manager.

About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be part of a team that owns multiple critical components of the AWS Systems Manager ecosystem, such as QuickSetup, Distributor, and various console experiences and backend components. You will be responsible for designing new software, updating existing software, and developing (coding) solutions. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers and participate in recruiting activities. Operating and improving existing software, troubleshooting, and testing are also key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software and updates to existing software.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in recruiting activities.
• Operate and improve existing software, troubleshoot, and test.
• Take ownership of products end-to-end, wearing many hats as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
