Job Description
Join Verily, an Alphabet company, as a Software Engineer in our Sponsors, Payors, and Sites (SPS) engineering organization. You will work collaboratively with data scientists, UX designers, product managers, and other engineering teams to develop new systems and features for both internal and external users. Your work will directly contribute to Verily's mission of delivering precision health through accurate data insights.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX, and Test to design and implement engineering solutions that meet customer needs.
- Develop APIs and business logic using Go, ensuring security, provenance, and automated testing.
- Implement database changes, focusing on schema alignment and performance optimization.
- Design and develop front-end applications using React, ensuring accessibility and traceability.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as GitHub, Jira, Google Cloud, Docker, and Terraform for development.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of industry experience.
- Strong programming skills with a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture fundamentals and web security protocols.
- A growth mindset and eagerness to learn new programming languages and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API design.
- Proficiency in Go and/or React.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Spanner, KMS, etc.).
- Familiarity with microservices, continuous integration, and release management.
