As a Senior Software Engineer at Snyk, you'll be at the forefront of building the future of application security. You’ll be challenged to create high-performance, reliable, and scalable services while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Master the latest tech and best practices to maintain and supercharge our existing services.
- Use your full-stack skills to build, test, deploy, and optimize high-quality, reliable, fast services that power Snyk.
- Optimize our team's workflow by identifying potential improvements and driving the changes needed to address them.
- Connect with customers and collaborate with other teams to craft a product everyone truly loves.
- Guide your team through mentorship, pairing, and sharing your expertise.
- Tackle performance and scalability challenges head-on across our services as we grow.
What You’ll Need
- Proficiency in Node/JavaScript/TypeScript or Go, or willingness to learn new languages.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to break down complex tech into plain English.
- High standards for code quality, testing, and continuous delivery.
- Enjoy working on early-stage products and solving problems iteratively.
- Embrace challenges and learn from them.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading projects and inspiring engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or major cloud platforms like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft Azure.
- SRE background in keeping systems healthy and happy.
- Experience with distributed system architectural challenges.
- Experience with Docker and cloud-native environments.
