Localization Engineer - New Graduate

Gecko Robotics is seeking a Localization Engineer for new graduates to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is perfect for those passionate about robotics and autonomy systems, eager to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology in our Accelerator lab.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Autonomy Codebase: Actively participate in the development and enhancement of our autonomy systems.
- Design and Implement Systems: Develop and test autonomy systems that perform reliably across diverse environments.
- Hands-On Testing: Work directly with our robots to test solutions and collaborate with the Test and Reliability team to enhance system-level testing.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomy technologies.
- Intellectual Property: Contribute to the expansion of the company's intellectual property portfolio.
Technologies We Use
- Programming Languages: C++, Python
- Frameworks and Tools: ROS, Docker, Git
- Libraries: OpenCV, PCL, Boost, Eigen
About You
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Internship experience in relevant areas is preferred. Practical experience with ROS is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience in sensor fusion, SLAM pipeline, inertial and wheel odometry, motion planning, and controls.
- Tools: Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, Linux, and command-line tools.
