Job Description
Deepgram is seeking a talented Software Engineer, Front End to join our full-stack team focused on product-led growth. As a front-end developer, you will be instrumental in building features that help both technical and non-technical users discover and test Deepgram’s speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and audio intelligence APIs. Our team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing platforms such as console.deepgram.com and playground.deepgram.com, which are essential for managing projects, monitoring usage, tracking billing, and testing APIs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy web applications using Elm, React, and other front-end technologies.
- Build features like text-to-speech in API Playground, a new receipts page, and interactive charts for tracking API usage.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other software engineers to create accessible, performant, and responsive features.
- Dive into customer feedback with curiosity and propose process improvements.
- Balance short-term deliverables with long-term investments for efficiency, scale, and performance.
Requirements
- Proven industry experience in building and shipping user-facing products.
- Expertise in modern front-end technologies and frameworks like Elm, React, or Typescript.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in translating product or design requirements into parallelizable and incrementally releasable tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building experimental products from scratch.
- Previous experience with Elm.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies.
- Experience with voice technology and AI-driven applications.
