Job Overview
Play.ht is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. This role is crucial for developing and enhancing the user interfaces of our advanced voice generation platforms. You will be working closely with a team of engineers to build and maintain high-quality, scalable, and feature-rich applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the front-end of our web applications using JavaScript, ReactJS, and CSS.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic using NodeJS and ExpressJS.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Implement mobile-responsive design to ensure our applications are mobile-friendly.
- Maintain and improve website.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Strong understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Experience Level
- Mid to Senior level experience is required for this role.
