Join Our Team as a Software Engineer II

Built is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Commercial Real Estate team. This role is pivotal in unlocking Built's largest revenue opportunities by delivering features in a sustainable and scalable manner. You will work alongside other skilled engineers to create or extend React micro frontends, Node.js product APIs, and services backed by MySQL or DynamoDB as we transition towards an event-driven architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development: Work on engineering initiatives that expand our feature set while avoiding technical debt.
Issue Management: Proactively scan issue backlogs, familiarize yourself with system pain points, and address them through pull requests or other means.
Team Collaboration: Support your team members, provide respectful and thorough code reviews, and listen to the priorities and concerns of others.
Ownership: Take ownership of your code, run and monitor releases, and maintain high standards in your work.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2-5 years of professional full-stack software development experience in a TypeScript environment.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile environment and conducting code reviews.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, MySQL, and DynamoDB.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Knowledge: Familiarity with AWS products such as SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Lambdas, and DMS.
Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, and Terraform.
Database Indexing: Experience with platforms like ElasticSearch and Apache Solr.
