Job Description
Highlight is seeking a seasoned Staff Engineer to join our early engineering team. As a well-funded startup, we are building innovative tools for digital artists and creators, and we are quickly becoming a destination marketplace for creators and collectors globally. This role offers the opportunity to work with highly experienced developers and contribute to building a new platform from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Build well-architected microservice web applications on AWS using React, GraphQL, Node, and DynamoDB.
- Contribute to smart contract architecture and development to enable core features of our product.
- Work at the cutting edge of web3 with Farcaster protocol integration, L2 expansion, scalability needs, and embedded/smart wallets.
- Participate in code reviews and the interview process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience building full-stack consumer-facing web applications and solving complex distributed systems problems.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested, secure code in a variety of languages and frameworks.
- Experience building microservice architectures on AWS.
- Web3, dApp, and blockchain smart contract experience is a major plus.
- Strong database schema design skills.
