Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Systems: Lead the design and implementation of systems for both local air-gapped systems and customer distributed deployments. Drive new features through robust, backwards-compatible updates that impact all of webAI’s customers and products.

• Technical Leadership: As a key technical lead, contribute to the knowledge, architecture, processes, and systems of the engineering organization. Make technical choices accessible to product owners and influence the company’s ability to deliver AI-powered products and services.

• Mentorship and Growth: Mentor and grow the engineering team, using your expertise to guide webAI’s technical strategy as we transition into a larger company. Contribute to the planning and execution of technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience: 8+ years in product-driven backend engineering. Experience in embedded systems or platform teams is a plus.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Go, with additional experience in Python and Rust preferred. Experience with messaging systems such as MQTT, Kafka, or Nats.

• Deployment Expertise: Experience with deployment pipelines, including CI/CD processes, and the ability to manage a custom deployment strategy tailored to our unique system architecture and runtime requirements.
