About The Role
As a Staff Software Engineer focused on applications at Dune, you will play a key role in ensuring a world-class experience for our users and customers on dune.com. Our application is written in Typescript, uses Next.js on the client and NodeJS on the server via GraphQL, and is hosted on Vercel and AWS, respectively. In this role, you will drive the technical vision and architecture of Dune’s applications, ensuring they align with business goals and performance metrics. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers to ideate, develop, and launch robust features that enhance user interactions on Dune. You will also optimize application performance to minimize downtime and latency, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities

- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in software development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a back-end engineer with a strong foundation in computer science.
- Extensive experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and building scalable web applications.
- Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, with familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like Next.js.
