Web Design Internship: R&D Academy SharePoint Redesign

Background Information

We are a team of Learning and Development (L&D) Professionals working at the Research and Development (R&D) Academy, developing and delivering learning and knowledge solutions to meet the needs of our technical professionals working within the R&D sector (approx. 15,000 individuals worldwide). In our work, we closely collaborate with our target audience to help ASML grow and innovate.

Your Assignment

Via our SharePoint pages, we communicate what we do, how we are organized, and we provide online work instructions and guidelines for our target group, but also for ourselves. These SharePoint pages are an important medium, but they need to be updated.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team to enhance and build our internal SharePoint site. The goal is to improve searchability, the user experience, and curate content to meet the diverse needs of our target audience. This assignment provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in SharePoint development, experience design, and content management.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team on the analysis and design of the new SharePoint site, including needs analysis, UX design, content curation, content management, and sustainability.
• Build the SharePoint site to meet the needs of our target audiences.
• Testing of the product.

Your Profile

To be a perfect match for this internship, you:

• Are a vocational (MBO) student in web development, digital media, UX design, information technology, information science, or a related field.
• Have previous experience or affinity with SharePoint development (highly desirable).
• Have knowledge of web technologies, a basic understanding of UX/UI design principles, and the ability to analyze and structure user feedback to drive improvements.
• Are a creative thinker who is able to adapt and someone with a very proactive approach who pays attention to details.
• Have strong communication skills and are fluent in English both verbally and in writing.

This is a vocational (MBO) apprentice internship with a duration of 3 to 6 months, for 3-5 days a week, starting as soon as possible.
