Role Overview
NTT DATA, a trusted global innovator in IT and business services, is seeking a skilled Back-end Developer to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. This role involves working directly with the European Commission, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects that impact European governance.
Responsibilities
- Development of back-end website applications.
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
- Implementation of core business logic.
- Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
- Ensuring the security and data protection of applications.
- Optimization of applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Design and development of APIs.
- Leading projects as needed and maintaining code integrity and organization.
- Writing clean, functional code on the back end and compiling and analyzing data to troubleshoot problems.
- Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, PHP, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience with database technologies such as Oracle and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git or SVN.
- Good knowledge of English and French (Level B1).
