Job Overview
As a BackEnd Engineer specializing in TypeScript and Node.js, you will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems. You will work within a team to ensure that the software is maintainable, scalable, and supportable, adhering to Amdocs' software engineering standards and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, develop, modify, debug, and maintain software code according to functional, non-functional, and technical design specifications.
- Code Review: Participate in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions to improve code quality.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during solution design for new requirements and assume technical accountability for your specific work products.
- Innovation and Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Science, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in the design and development of highly scalable applications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (TypeScript preferred) and Node.js frameworks (Nest.js preferred). Good understanding of non-relational database principles and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or CouchDB.
- Fundamentals: Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- API Knowledge: Good understanding of REST API principles.
Location
This position is based in Limassol, Cyprus, with a hybrid work environment that allows for both on-site and off-site work.
