Job Description
Watermelon Tecnologia & Participações is seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Backend Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions and web applications. You will work closely with our team to analyze, maintain, and enhance existing software applications, ensuring they are scalable and testable.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software and web applications.
- Analyze and perform maintenance on existing software applications.
- Design testable and scalable code.
- Identify and fix bugs in the software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.
- At least 1 year of experience with:
- Programming languages: Java (8 or higher), Scala.
- Frameworks: JPA, Hibernate, Lagom, SpringBoot, Slick.
- Databases: MySQL, Postgres, Oracle Database (20 or higher).
- Database clients: JDBC.
- Content Types: JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers.
- Protocols: REST.
- Agile methodologies.
- DevOps tools: Azure Pipelines, Azure Security Code Analysis, Azure Test Plans, Azure Repos.
