As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the technical foundation of the Outdooractive platform, ensuring its performance, scalability, and stability.
Your Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will:
- Collaborate on Requirement Analysis: Work closely with team members to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and develop concepts that you will implement using various technologies, primarily Java EE.
- Enhance Existing Applications: Maintain and further develop complex web applications that form part of our outdoor platform.
- Ensure High-Quality Code: Conduct code reviews and implement test automation to maintain high product quality.
- Optimize Infrastructure: Identify potential improvements in our infrastructure and continuously optimize it to enhance development efficiency.
What We Expect from You
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Several years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition application programming, especially with web applications on distributed servers.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java EE, Tomcat, MemcacheD, Solr (Lucene), PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Jenkins CI, SVN, and Git.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong logical and analytical thinking skills, with a structured and independent work approach.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and the ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working with Linux, PC, MAC, or Windows environments.
- Agile Experience: Familiarity with working in an agile team setting.
