Position Overview
Coder is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Product team in Austin, Texas. This role is pivotal in helping us understand our open-source usage patterns and discover opportunities for growth. You will be stationed initially at our Austin office, with increasing hybrid work flexibility as you become more integrated into the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Write SQL queries and build or modify internal dashboards.
- Modify our in-product telemetry engine to collect additional usage data.
- Work closely with the Engineering, Revenue, and Leadership teams who regularly use telemetry to drive critical decisions.
- Engage in projects beyond product telemetry, such as building company-wide dashboards around key metrics and KPIs, automating & reporting on open source issues, customer feature requests, and bug reports, and making improvements to our core product.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript/React.
- Experience with Golang, BigQuery, Salesforce, and cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure, Terraform).
- Skills in Retool and technical writing/documentation are highly valued.
- A self-starter attitude with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the languages, platforms, and skills listed is not required, but a willingness to learn and grow these skills during your tenure is encouraged.
Interview Process
Our interview process aims to be consistent and enjoyable. We strive to complete it within two to three weeks, schedules permitting. You will meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership. If a take-home assessment is required, we will compensate you for your work and time after completion.
