Join Arrive Logistics as a Data Science Intern

Arrive Logistics, a leading transportation and technology company, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Data Science Intern to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the logistics industry and work alongside experienced data scientists to develop models, conduct tests, analyze data, and bring innovative ideas to production.

What You’ll Do

• Develop Industry Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the logistics industry and Arrive’s core business functions and processes.
• Collaborate on Model Development: Work closely with data scientists to develop models, analytic solutions, and perform statistical analysis.
• Model Testing and Production: Engage with data scientists and engineering teams to test models and implement solutions into production.
• Documentation and Support: Collaborate with data scientists to document models, monitor performance, and provide ongoing support for existing models.
• Data Preparation: Prepare, clean, and wrangle large data sets for analysis.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Masters or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, or other statistical programming languages. Solid knowledge of statistics, mathematics, and computer science.
• Analytical Mindset: Experience evaluating, fitting, and interpreting results of common data science models.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Continuous Learning: Interest in staying abreast of emerging data science research and trends.
• Additional Skills: Experience with Agile development methodology, optimization problems, and cloud environments is a plus. Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is a major advantage.
