Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Data Scientist and help build innovative services that protect our cloud from security threats. As an AWS Security Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in developing and managing services that detect and automate the mitigation of cybersecurity threats across Amazon’s infrastructure. Collaborate with security engineers, software development engineers, and other data scientists across multiple teams to create innovative security solutions at a massive scale. Our services protect the AWS cloud for all customers and preserve our customers’ trust in us. You will have the opportunity to use the full power and breadth of AWS technologies to build services that proactively protect every single AWS customer, both internally and externally, from security threats.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working as a Data Scientist
• Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, or equivalent) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, or equivalent)
• Experience with machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance
• Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment
