About the Role
Join the Dependency Management team at Datadog, located within the Developer Experience Org. This team is dedicated to automating the software lifecycle management for all of Datadog Engineering. You will be instrumental in building features that enhance the developer experience and ensure the security and up-to-date nature of the software supply chain.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building a key part of our platform, owning and improving systems that operate at high scale. This is a pivotal time to join, as the product is experiencing significant growth and receiving substantial investment from leadership.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, own, and support one of our key components end-to-end.
- Write a significant amount of code and lead architectural decisions for new and existing services.
- Run a lightweight agile process to pace and track work, ensuring delivery of high-quality work.
Who You Are
- A self-motivated, self-starter builder who takes pride in solving problems for your customers.
- Able to identify customer needs and pain points proactively.
- Possess 4+ years of experience in backend engineering, preferably with Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with developer tooling or developer experience projects is highly valued.
Bonus Points For
- Experience with Go-Lang.
- Familiarity with artifactory, testing frameworks, and package managers like Pip, Npm, Cargo.
- Knowledge of GitHub APIs, vulnerability management, software inventory management, and code ownership.
