About The Team
The Demo Engineering team at Stripe is dedicated to creating high-quality, product-focused demos that showcase the capabilities of Stripe's products. Our team is composed of engineers who excel in application design, user experience, and storytelling. We aim to demonstrate the functionality of our products through polished, end-to-end examples, rather than just describing them.
What You’ll Do
As a Demo Engineer, you will:
- Work on projects that span various products, technologies, systems, and processes.
- Build assets, tools, environments, and demos in collaboration with the Solutions Architecture team.
- Collaborate with experts across product, design, engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
- Create demo experiences that effectively communicate the value of Stripe's products to our customers.
- Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency to the diverse codebases and processes you will encounter.
Responsibilities
- Own and build polished end-to-end examples of how Stripe’s products and solutions work.
- Develop new internal tools to enable technical Go-To-Market staff to quickly create their own demos.
- Provide domain expertise and insights to craft well-articulated stories and narratives for sales.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to design and build demos of Stripe’s newest products.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in shipping high-quality user-facing products as a software engineer.
- Proficiency in common web development languages and frameworks such as Node, React, Next.js, Ruby, and Python.
- Familiarity with common deployment infrastructure like AWS and GCP.
- Strong product sense, communication, storytelling skills, and an eye for design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with demo creation tools.
- Experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs into web applications.
- Experience with online and in-person payments, subscriptions, card issuing, or other relevant concepts.
