About The Team

The Payins organization at Stripe builds products and platforms to help users accept payments from customers, including the APIs for configuring and processing payments, and Cards, our highest volume and most complex method for accepting payments. As a member of the Payins Dashboard team, you will play a crucial role in understanding and facilitating the user journey of managing a payment over its lifecycle. Our team oversees some of the highest trafficked surfaces that merchants interact with each day in the Stripe Dashboard. We are dedicated to providing an exceptional user experience through craftsmanship, and ensuring our users can focus on what truly matters: growing their businesses.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities

• Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end.
• Craft new products and features that impact millions of people and businesses around the world such as building the fastest and most seamless checkout flow.
• Explore creative opportunities for next-gen payments experiences that leverage the depth of Stripe’s payment technology.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
• Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps.
• Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
• Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience, with an emphasis on modern frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/TypeScript/React) and building delightful user interfaces.
• Comfort operating as a frontend developer and owning projects end-to-end.
• Are motivated by solving hard problems, and measure your success in terms of impact doing so.
• Thrive in a highly collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different areas of expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with experimentation frameworks and data pipelines.
• Have experience gathering and using data to analyze user behavior/intent to inform future product decisions.

Hybrid Work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
