DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

Wargaming is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join our Deployment team! We are responsible for our game servers at all stages of their life cycle, including various infrastructure services related to our games. This role offers a great opportunity to become an excellent and reliable teammate, showing high responsibility for incident resolution, consultancy on the production environment, automation of deployments and configuration, and similar regular operations. We help maintain the sustainability of global services and operations of all our games, connecting us to our 100 million+ audience.

Engineering Manager

What will you do?

• Be responsible for the availability, performance, security, and reliability of our games and parts of the infrastructure around them at all stages of their service life cycle.
• Optimize and tune our high-load services.
• Support and develop a large amount of automation for the build, deployment, and other processes required for our games and related services.

What are we looking for?

• Professional work experience with Linux systems and system administration related tasks.
• Experience using Bash for routine operations and automation (including awk, sed).
• Work experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Work experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN, Perforce).
• Development experience in at least one programming language (Python, Golang, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
• Understanding of principles and experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Podman, LXC, OpenVZ).
• Understanding of principles and experience with orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Swarm).
• Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and experience with tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Work experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Work experience with automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Terraform).
• Work experience with configuration and secret management systems (e.g., Zookeeper, Consul).
• Work experience with various monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience in debugging applications at the system and network level.
• Understanding how modern systems and network protocols work.
• Understanding the basic principles of DevOps and SRE methodologies.
• English level from Intermediate.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Expertise in building large scale, high volume, secure, efficient, and resilient operations environment.
• Advanced hands-on Python / Rust / Golang programming experience.
• Experience in making decisions with minimal supervision.

Salary

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 4500 - 5500 monthly gross.
