DevOps Engineer / IT Support Engineer

About The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and administration of moderate to highly complex systems, databases, and applications for both internal and external customers. This position ensures high reliability and integration of projects, adhering to service level agreements and aiming for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Administration: Perform and control day-to-day systems administration and management activities, including initial setup, configuration, testing of hardware or software platforms, and customization to maintenance and upgrade projects.
2. Problem Management: Resolve moderately complex problem management issues by investigating and devising solutions for systems/operations. This may include installations, setups, error messages, online transactions, system/application status, and testing solutions.
3. Technical Support: Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service availability and identify root causes of complex problems.
4. User Satisfaction: Ensure user satisfaction by providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and quickly resolving complex problems.
5. Project Participation: Participate in system/network projects and enhancements by representing the department and providing technical advice/solutions, ensuring adherence to documented processes and procedures and risk mitigation efforts.
6. Automation and Innovation: Propose and lead the development of automation tools. Ensure environment testing and installation/upgrades, working with less senior team members to resolve problems.
7. Process Improvement: Define and implement recommendations for complex issues in the area of systems, databases, or applications. Review complex problem situations and identify preventive measures/improvements to processes, procedures, or tools, and implement these as required.
