Job Overview
Join Cobytes as a Senior DevOps Engineer and take a pivotal role in designing and maintaining high-traffic hosting environments on our proprietary platform and in the cloud. You will be instrumental in making customer applications cloud-ready and deploying them on Kubernetes or Docker Swarm. This role requires a proactive approach to prevent downtime by automating and virtualizing as much as possible using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize hosting environments and applications to be cloud-ready.
- Deploy applications on Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Support colleagues and engage with clients to troubleshoot and optimize their setups.
- Prevent issues through proactive system management and automation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements and documenting workflows.
Requirements
- Service-oriented, customer-focused, and excellent communication skills.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within an ICT company.
- Proficient with Docker (Swarm), Kubernetes, and OpenStack.
- Experience with Linux environments (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Bamboo.
- Understanding of web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL).
- Basic knowledge of PHP frameworks and applications (Laravel, Symfony, WordPress, TYPO3, Magento).
- Experience with major cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
