About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Developer with a robust background in computer science and software engineering principles. This role centers on contributing to the development, automation, and enhancement of our Openshift/Kubernetes platform, focusing on security hardening and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and Automation: Design and implement automation and services in the Openshift/Kubernetes ecosystem using advanced software engineering principles.
- Operator Development: Develop Openshift/Kubernetes operators using Go, Java, or C++ to enhance functionality and integration.
- Monitoring and Security Controls: Develop robust monitoring solutions and security controls within the Openshift/Kubernetes environment.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades of Openshift/Kubernetes clusters to optimize performance.
- Software Releases and Test Automation: Automate software release processes and develop comprehensive test automation to ensure reliability and scalability.
Role Requirements
- Solid Foundation in Computer Science and Software Engineering: Must have 5+ years of experience with a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Programming Skills: Technical expertise in Python, Java, C++, or Go development is required (2-5 years).
- Linux and IDE Experience: Proficient with Linux OS and integrated development environments (2-5 years).
- Containerization and Version Control: Must have at least 2 years of experience with Docker and Git.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of development design patterns.
- Experience with RHEL, Openshift, or generic Kubernetes platforms.
- Deployment automation using ArgoCD.
- Kubernetes application development and/or administration.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and scripting.
- Experience developing metrics for Prometheus, Metrics, or Elastic Monitoring.
