About The Role
As a pivotal member of our Customer Success team, the Senior DevOps Coach & Success Architect plays a central role in our Agile transformation. This position involves close collaboration with multi-functional squads, emphasizing not only technical prowess but also a customer-centric approach. Beyond technical contributions, this role involves building bridges with supported tribes, fostering collaboration, and collecting essential feedback from both technical teams and upper management.
Responsibilities
DevOps Coaching and Acceleration
- Lead our Agile transformation by collaborating closely with multi-functional squads, expediting software delivery for internal customers.
- Apply DevOps vision and technical expertise to streamline the software delivery process, ensuring alignment with customer needs and success.
- Drive the embedding of Security and Agile linkages and controls within the delivery flow, ensuring a seamless and secure process.
Contributor, Designer, and Coach
- Play a multifaceted role as a contributor, designer, and coach, constantly seeking creative solutions.
- Leverage existing technical knowledge and explore new processes, products, and technologies.
- Collaborate with squads and engineers, providing technical and architectural guidance to shape the continuous delivery pipeline's evolution.
Success Architect Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations to the product tribes' DevOps maturity roadmap, aligning it with customer needs and industry best practices.
- Drive the definition of tribe pipeline blueprints, promoting common architectural patterns for consistency and efficiency.
- Promote and stimulate the adoption of Tooling Services, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Grow and engage with DevOps champions, fostering a community of practice.
- Act as the voice of the customer from the product tribes to the Tooling tribe, ensuring effective communication of customer feedback and requirements.
Customer-Centric Focus
- Drive a customer-centric approach in all DevOps practices, ensuring alignment with customer success.
- Actively engage with internal customers, understanding their software delivery needs, and tailor DevOps solutions to drive their success.
- Champion collaboration and build trust with customers, serving as a liaison between technical teams and upper management.
Practical Contributions
- Streamline and automate software delivery pipelines by actively participating in architecture, design, development, testing installation/roll-out, and continuous improvement.
- Work with squads to integrate controls in the pipeline, promoting "compliance-as-code" principles.
- Assess challenges faced by teams and define actionable strategies to enhance DevOps practices within each team or squad.
- Validate measures for improving DevOps practices on an ongoing basis.
- Serve as a repository of knowledge, collecting, promoting, and coaching best practices across squads.
- Conduct routine demos and solution presentations to teams across various locations, accommodating flexible timing based on global time zone needs.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years on IT automation projects, out of which 3 years working on SDLC pipelines.
- Experience in IT/software delivery, preferably working with architectures focusing on security and PaaS delivery models.
- Experience working in Unix and/or Linux environments. System engineer experience is a plus.
- Maturity process assessments and/or Value Stream analysis.
- 4 or 5-year university degree in computer science or related field.
1+ years of experience with the following:
- DevOps practices and toolset with strong focus on automation of provisioning, quality controls, security auditing and maintenance.
- CI/CD tooling, including Jenkins, Nexus, Bitbucket/git.
- Agile/Scrum tooling including Jira, Confluence.
- Automation/Scripting (Python, Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Containerization platforms, such as Docker, OpenShift.
- Experience and enjoyment working in agile teams is a must.
