Join Our Team as an Operations Data Engineer
Are you passionate about data engineering and have a knack for DevOps? We are looking for a dedicated Operations Data Engineer to join our team at the Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB) in Amstelveen, Netherlands. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our organization can leverage data effectively to deliver on our mission of providing national insurance schemes efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Data Engineer, you will:
- Optimize Data Platforms: Work on our new data platform in Azure, ensuring that the CI/CD pipeline is optimally configured for controlled production releases.
- Manage Infrastructure: Use Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) to manage OTAP environments and oversee various data domains.
- Monitor Performance: Proactively and reactively monitor system performance and manage cost fluctuations.
- Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain documentation for the execution and management of our Way of Working.
- Support Teams: Assist BI, analytics, and engineering teams with scheduling and load plans, and manage environments outside Azure, such as Power BI.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an enthusiastic team player with a flexible and customer-oriented mindset.
- Has strong problem-solving skills and can work independently.
- Holds a degree in computer science or a related field, preferably at HBO level.
- Has proven experience in a similar role, with expertise in Azure DevOps, Synapse, SQL, Python, and Powershell.
- Is familiar with ITIL processes, Agile methodologies, and information security.
