About The Role

Join Swift as a Senior Cloud Engineer and be part of a team that is at the forefront of cloud infrastructure innovation. Swift has implemented a state-of-the-art Landing Zone in AWS, along with a full DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code operating model. This role is crucial as we continue to grow and scale our cloud infrastructure to support our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and Implement Cloud Resources: Develop secure, compliant, and scalable cloud resources, ensuring they are available as internal products or network-based services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Utilize Terraform and CloudFormation to make cloud products available for self-service.
• Collaboration: Work with various teams to design and deploy infrastructure and application deployment pipelines, as well as DevOps tools.
• Standardization and Automation: Streamline the onboarding process for application teams into the Landing Zone.
• Support and Enablement: Assist application teams in creating secure and scalable infrastructure using approved cloud products.
• Central Services Management: Deploy and manage central services such as networking using DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Governance and Compliance: Manage and evolve Landing Zone components to provide scalable governance, including Service Control Policies and Security Controls.
• Operational Tools: Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure.
• Cost Management: Implement automation for cost management, analysis, and reporting.

What Will Make You Successful?

• Educational Background: A university degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure deployment and automation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• DevOps Expertise: Experience with Git/BitBucket for code management and Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms.
• Linux Knowledge: Strong understanding of Linux systems for automation.
• Networking: Foundational understanding of TCP/IP Networking and related protocols.
• Database Management: Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Problem Solving: A proactive approach and a problem-solving attitude.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Security and Compliance: Experience with AWS IAM, Security Groups, and compliance requirements.
• Kubernetes and Docker: Knowledge and experience managing Kubernetes environments.
• AWS Security Tools: Familiarity with AWS security tools like Guard Duty and Security Hub.
