DevOps Engineer
The Swift Group is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This role is pivotal in enhancing our software and infrastructure, ensuring that our tools meet defined requirements, and maintaining a secure and efficient multi-cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Mission Partners: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure tools meet established requirements.
- DevOps Principles: Apply DevOps principles to continuously deliver high-value enhancements to software within a service-based architecture.
- Security Maintenance: Address all application security vulnerabilities according to severity to maintain security accreditation.
- Data Engineering Support: Support data engineering efforts to analyze large data sets and derive data relationships.
- Multi-Cloud Environment Management: Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot various codebases deployed in a multi-cloud environment.
- Hardware and Network Management: Manage and troubleshoot hardware and network components.
- Database Management: Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based databases.
Required Skills
- ElasticSearch and Kibana: Experience with these tools is essential.
- AWS Proficiency: Proficiency in AWS services, including S3, EBS, and EC2.
- Automated Deployment: Experience in platform and application automated deployment.
- Cloud Deployment: Knowledge of cloud deployment, containerization, web service/API management, and computing optimization.
- DevSecOps CI/CD Pipelines: Experience implementing DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines in a multi-tenant environment.
- Linux and Unix: Proficiency in Linux and Unix-based operating systems.
- Requirements Tracking Tools: Experience using tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
- Security Clearance: US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
Desired Skills
- Big Data Processing: Experience with big data processing and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, HBase).
- Apache NiFi and ETL: Familiarity with Apache NiFi and ETL processes.
- IT Security Management: Knowledge of managing IT security vulnerabilities using Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs).
- FISMA Security Controls: Understanding of FISMA security controls.
- Technical Communication: Experience documenting and communicating technical requirements to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams across organizational boundaries.
- Programming Background: Background in programming and developing software applications in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Python Proficiency: Proficiency in Python and ability to translate mission needs into technical requirements.
