Job Overview
Rakuten International oversees multiple businesses globally, recognized for its innovation in e-commerce, digital content, and communications. Rakuten Rewards, part of this international brand, enhances shopping experiences by offering Cash Back, deals, and rewards from over 3,500 merchants. This role focuses on contributing to micro-frontend services, aiming to solve large-scale technical challenges and improve user privacy, experience, and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.
- Break down work into deliverables with a focus on iterative product delivery.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and system knowledge.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and ES6+.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, CSS, and preprocessors.
- Experience in writing unit tests for frontend code using tools like React Testing Library.
- Familiarity with web stack and resource delivery, including web server optimization.
- Knowledge of Accessibility (a11y) best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in frontend software engineering.
- Experience with design systems, Storybook, and frontend developer tooling.
- Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma or Invision.
