Senior Software Engineer - ReactJS

Position Summary
Join the Acquisition and Discovery Engineering team at Walmart, where we are dedicated to providing a seamless and delightful shopping experience to millions of shoppers worldwide. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on top-of-the-funnel shopping experiences such as the Homepage, Content Pages for SEO and SEM, Search & Browse experiences, Deals, and Item pages across mobile and web platforms.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on development of n-tier applications using ReactJS, NodeJS, and TypeScript.
- Manage code and configurations for multiple environments, including release management and maintaining environment configuration and controls.
- Analyze business requirements and work in an agile development environment with quick turnaround times and iterative builds.
- Lead the discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high-level designs.
- Lead small groups of engineers, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues, ensuring the inclusion of business vision and industry trends.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of hands-on coding experience with ReactJS, NodeJS, and TypeScript.
- Fundamental web development skills, including understanding of cookies, headers, and server-to-server communication.
- Experience with GraphQL using NodeJS is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent technical debugging and production support skills.
- Experience with monitoring mobile app performance and leveraging data to improve it.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a fast-paced environment.
