Software Engineer III - Front End

Position Summary

Join Walmart's dynamic team as a Software Engineer III - Front End, where you will be at the forefront of creating reusable technologies to enhance customer acquisition, onboarding, and merchant empowerment. Your role will involve ensuring a seamless experience for stakeholders while optimizing tariffs and assortment in line with Walmart's Everyday Low-Cost philosophy. You will contribute to delivering customized experiences for customers across all channels, including in-store, mobile app, and websites.

What You'll Do

Design and develop large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups of engineers, including offshore associates.
Conduct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.
Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Support business objectives and ensure business needs are met.
Develop components and modules that enhance the pool of reusable platform capabilities for UI teams.
Work on cutting-edge JavaScript-based technologies to develop maintainable, performant, and elegant features in an Agile, incremental fashion.

What You'll Bring

Programming experience in TypeScript, JavaScript ES6, React + Redux, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, REST, highly scalable Web Services, SQL/MySQL/MSSQL, Java.
Experience in agile ways of working in a distributed geographical model.
Excellent communication skills, timeliness, and a desire to write clean, organized code.

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer Service experience.
Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
Masters in Computer Science.
