Executive Risk Partner for Technology Platform

About The Role

The Executive Risk Partner for Technology Platform (TP) is a pivotal role within the Risk Department at Swift. This position involves leading a team of Risk Partners in the Second Line of Defence, providing independent challenge and scrutiny to the Executive and Leadership team of the TP. The role is crucial in ensuring high standards of resiliency and security for a globally systemically important architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the TP Risk Partner Team: Oversee the team within the Risk Department, providing independent challenge and scrutiny to major initiatives in TP.
• Risk Management Portfolio: Deliver on a portfolio of risk management requirements including Risk Assessments, Risk and Control Self Assessments, Risk Monitoring, and more.
• Relationship Building: Build strong working relationships with the TP Executive and Management team, being a member of the extended Management Team of TP and the Risk Department Management Team.
• Strategic Reporting: Contribute with a strategic mindset in report writing to Executives, Board, and Overseers.
• Board Representation: Present at quarterly Board meetings (TP Committee) and Overseer meetings to represent the second line opinion on major initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Define medium and long-term views on processes and methods, securing resources to implement improvements.
• Leadership and Culture: Provide leadership in setting and demonstrating the culture and values within the Risk Department.
• Expert Knowledge Application: Apply in-depth expert knowledge in TP risk management and lead strategic direction and objective management for the TP Risk Partner team.

Education and Experience

• A university degree, preferably at Masters level, and relevant vocational qualifications.
• 10-15 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years in a risk management environment.
• Experience in consulting, technology, and/or financial services industries is preferred.
