Role Description
Instrument is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Technical Lead to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing frontend solutions using React and Next.js, seamlessly integrated with a Headless Wagtail Backend. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient data hydration with Next and React apps for seamless backend integration, overseeing the frontend project plan, collaborating with the design team, and reviewing code from senior frontend engineers. You will also optimize for performance and user experience, while guiding frontend developers in leveraging React for data fetching. Collaborating closely with backend developers to establish RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for retrieving structured content from Wagtail CMS is also a key part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable frontend solutions using React and Next.js
- Ensure efficient data hydration and seamless backend integration
- Oversee and manage frontend project plans
- Collaborate with design teams
- Provide code reviews and feedback to senior frontend engineers
- Establish RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints with backend developers
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Front End Development, particularly with React and Next.js
- Proficient in modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with Headless CMS, especially Wagtail
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
- Proficiency with GraphQL for data fetching and manipulation
- Ability to architect and implement scalable frontend solutions
