Volonte is seeking a dynamic Full Stack Engineer / Head of Engineering to join our innovative team. About the Role
As a Full Stack Engineer / Head of Engineering, you will work with new technologies and architectures in a non-hierarchical, fun, and results-oriented environment. You will take accountability for engineering and development work alongside a growing team in New York and remotely. This role is perfect for someone with experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple front and back-end languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across the full stack, building scalable distributed solutions for outstanding user experiences.
- Design and implement scalable web services, applications, and APIs.
- Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design.
- Work with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities.
- Write both low-level and high-level code.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree and/or a minimum of 3+ years experience in computer science, engineering, or building software.
- Experience building web applications, APIs, services, and scripts.
- Strong debugging and optimization skills.
- Interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow.
