Senior Software Engineer, Facilities (Fullstack)

About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Facilities Team, you will play a crucial role in developing software to support our end-to-end supply chain operations, covering everything from first-mile to last-mile delivery. These systems are essential to Veho's mission of delivering a next-generation shipping experience. You will work on both greenfield and existing projects, involving full-stack development, mobile applications, and cloud technologies, to enhance our logistics and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust software applications that support our warehousing and sorting systems.
• Leverage AWS and other cloud technologies to design and implement systems in a serverless and event-driven environment.
• Work with the Product and Design team to prioritize high-impact initiatives and projects.
• Work closely with technical and non-technical end-users, engineers, and product managers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Analyze code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability and provide recommendations on how to leverage our technology more efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve code quality.

What You Bring

• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• 4+ years of experience building, testing, and deploying applications in high-traffic production environments.
• 4+ years of experience developing software with JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Enjoys taking initiative, is a self-starter, willing to move fast and ship quick, and is excited about collaborating on big challenges.
• Enthusiastic about working closely with product and operations team members to develop creative solutions to problems, particularly within the supply chain domain.
• Tech Stack: AWS, Typescript, Node.js, React.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
• Solid software development background including serverless patterns, data structures, test-driven development.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to internal and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a remote-first environment.
• Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with React Native for building mobile applications.
• Strong skills in React and Node.js for end-to-end development.
• Knowledge of automated sorting systems is a plus.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $157,000-$177,000. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as other benefits such as 401k and unlimited PTO for exempt-level roles.
