About the Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our Internal Controls Engineering team at Stripe. This role is pivotal in developing high-quality compliance applications for both internal and external customers. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring these applications are reliable and scalable to meet Stripe’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Products: You will develop and maintain products and features that support compliance use cases at Stripe.
- Build New Applications: Create new applications on top of Stripe’s existing compliance infrastructure and collaborate with teams to design and prioritize new platform features.
- Collaborate with Teams: Partner with other infrastructure and security teams to use and provide feedback on APIs that offer security and compliance functionality.
- Enhance User Experience: Implement applications that address specific compliance use cases and build a great customer experience for developers and business partners using your products.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who meets the following minimum requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of engineering experience or equivalent combined work experience reflecting domain expertise relevant to this position.
- Technical Background: A strong technical background gained through education or on-the-job experiences.
- Product Development: Experience in building products and features centered around users’ needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Product Development and Design: Experience in product development and design.
- Optimization Skills: Interest in optimizing the reliability, latency, and UX of user-facing front-end applications.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people, contributing to a high level of psychological safety for all team members and partners.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, determination, and a growth mindset.
Work Environment
This position is based in Bucharest, Romania, with an expectation of spending at least 80% of the time in the office. This approach helps strike a balance between in-person collaboration and flexibility.
