About The Team
The Developer Productivity group at Stripe is dedicated to enhancing the productivity and happiness of Stripe's developers. We focus on optimizing tools, processes, and code to accelerate engineering efforts as the company scales.
What You'll Do
As a Software Engineer in Developer Infrastructure, you will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at improving the reliability, performance, and efficiency of Stripe’s multi-region CI platform. Here are some examples of the types of projects you might work on:
- Enhancing the reliability and performance of large-scale distributed systems.
- Improving build reproducibility and performance using tools like Bazel in both CI and local development environments.
- Developing and maintaining distributed cloud infrastructure services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prototype solutions for new challenges.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain large scale distributed systems and tools that interface with data infrastructure across all of Stripe’s engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to develop high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Participate in roadmap planning and contribute to the strategic direction of the team.
Who You Are
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about building infrastructure that supports developer productivity and have a proven track record in this area. You should have:
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong skills in designing, developing, and maintaining distributed systems using open source tools.
- Experience with programming languages like Go, Ruby, or Java.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
In-office Expectations
Our Bucharest office has an 80% in-office expectation. This hybrid model allows for significant in-person collaboration while also supporting flexibility.
