As a Backend Software Engineer in the Compliance Foundations team, you will be pivotal in building high-quality compliance automation systems and products that are reliable and scalable alongside Stripe’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain observability tools for security and compliance of infrastructure environments.
- Continuously increase the accuracy and reliability of data pipelines for compliance-related data.
- Partner with other infrastructure and security teams to implement APIs for security and compliance data.
- Implement compliance testing APIs and frameworks driving efficiency and predictability.
- Build a great customer experience for developers and business partners using your products.
Who You Are
We’re looking for engineers with a background in infrastructure or security, who are interested in delivering high performance infrastructure products to internal and external customers. Whether you’ve been working in infrastructure your whole career, or are looking to apply your skills in a new domain, we’d love to hear from you.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering experience or equivalent work reflecting domain expertise.
- Experience in building infrastructure products centered around users’ needs.
- Strong technical background gained through education or on-the-job experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in optimizing the reliability, security, and compliance of distributed systems.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people, contributing to a high level of psychological safety for all team members and partners.
In-office Expectations
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team, and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation.
