Job Description
As a Game Security Tech Lead for XDefiant at Ubisoft, you will be at the forefront of ensuring a fair and secure gaming environment for players. Your role will involve guiding the technical development of game security measures, protecting the game client from hacks and exploits, and developing a secure infrastructure and server ecosystem. You will lead a team focused on maintaining a level playing field for all players.
Responsibilities
- Secure the game client and its interactions with game servers.
- Collaborate with the networking team to harden and optimize network traffic.
- Investigate exploits and cheats in our game and others.
- Guide engineers to develop world-class security systems and practices.
- Educate content creators and gameplay engineers on maximizing game security.
- Coordinate with the production team to curate the security roadmap and direction.
- Maintain and extend documentation on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in C/C++ with an understanding of multi-threaded programming techniques.
- Experience in securing games both on the client and in the cloud.
- Autonomous, problem-solving, and open-minded attitude.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
- Self-directed, focused, and detail-oriented work skills.
