The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team is home to the engineering work that makes this vision possible, building the developer tools and services that enable game creators to craft incredible experiences, the commerce systems that connect publishers with their audience and help gamers engage with their next favorite games, the platforms on which those games play at their best, and the experiences that turn every screen into an Xbox.
Role Overview
Are you excited about the technology that helps make great games and drives innovation in the digital entertainment world? The Xbox Developer Relations team is looking for a technically inclined Developer Partner Manager who wants to make a real difference at the heart of game development by owning and managing relationships with leading games tools, middleware, engine, and services developers.
Developer Partner Managers are at the forefront of helping ship great games. We partner closely with developers to help deliver the best gaming experiences across our Microsoft platforms including Xbox, Windows PC, Game Pass and Cloud Gaming.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts and relationships for third party games technology providers.
- Help onboard and build relationships with technology developers new to the Xbox ecosystem.
- Provide technical insights to internal partner teams during business discussions.
- Work on technical problems that require cross group collaboration.
- Research and understand technical aspects of Microsoft platforms. (Xbox, Game Streaming, Windows development, Azure.)
- Represent Xbox at game developer events and conferences.
- Embody our Culture and Values.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry.
- Track record of customer excellence with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively with partners of all sizes, structures and experience levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineering OR equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of game development on Xbox, PlayStation, and/or PC.
- Passion for gaming and consumer entertainment, and for the technologies to create these experiences.
- Ability to formulate insights and effectively communicate opinions about complex problems.
- Ability to ramp up quickly on new technology and end-to-end scenarios.
Work Environment
Our offices are US based but candidates in other locations are considered, with an option of office, remote or hybrid working. This role will require international travel.

Salary and Benefits
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
