Internship Opportunity: AI based Multi-modal Perception and Learning
About the Role
Join the BMW Group as an intern in the exciting field of AI based Multi-modal Perception and Learning. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in the context of Intelligent Human-Machine/Vehicle Interaction and Collaboration. You will be part of a highly specialized international team of AI, ML, and robotics scientists and engineers, contributing to the development of the next generation of intelligent multi-modal interactive vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and Implementation: Work on multi-modal perception and learning algorithms for in-vehicle interaction, well-being, and AI Edge Computing.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of experts in AI, ML, and robotics to contribute to applied research and pre-development projects.
- Research and Innovation: Engage in research activities at the BMW AI Lab of RoboTac Team, Technology Group, BMW Group Center of Invention in Munich, Germany.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree in electrical/control engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a comparable field.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of machine learning, information theory, computer vision, robotics, and autonomous systems.
- Practical Experience: Extensive experience with sensory devices (Visual and Tactile Sensors, EMG, LIDAR, RADAR), robotics systems (ROS), and motion capturing systems.
- Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and C++.
- Embedded Systems: Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices.
- Additional Skills: Experience in Neuromorphic Computing is a plus.
