About the Role
Join the BMW Group for an exciting opportunity to work on a Master thesis in the area of Continuous Learning and Data Acquisition in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps). This role is perfect for a master student nearing the end of their degree in computer science or related fields, with a focus on machine learning or artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Research: Investigate state-of-the-art continuous learning techniques on Vision Transformers for semantic segmentation using benchmark datasets such as CityScapes and ADE20k.
- Implementation: Develop a novel continuous learning method for Vision Transformers, contributing to our PyTorch-based research stack.
- Experimentation: Utilize our advanced training infrastructure to conduct experiments and evaluate your approach efficiently.
- Presentation: Present your thesis results using the scientific method, both in written and oral formats.
- Collaboration: Work with an experienced team that has published at international peer-reviewed conferences and engage with an international and diverse team of doctoral candidates and students at the Autonomous Driving Campus in Unterschleißheim.
Requirements
- Education: You must be a master student in computer science or a related field.
- Skills: Strong knowledge in computer vision concepts, tasks, and Vision Transformers. Excellent programming skills in Python and PyTorch, and experience with modern programming tools such as Docker and Git.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Attributes: Driven by curiosity, motivated to solve problems independently, and able to share ideas and work effectively in a team.
